Portrait of John Clarke

Commissioned by Nick Batzias and colleagues from Madman Production after the unexpected passing of John Clarke. I was working on the portrait one Saturday morning when John's voice came across the radio. It was a replay of an three hour recording he had made for ABC Classic FM. It was an extraordinary feeling and I think he would be amused at the idea of a woman he never met examining the subtleties of the delightful wrinkles around his eyes while he played his favourite music.
