A young man reimagined as a madonna figure. Exhibited at Kilgour Art prize, Newcastle. This is a portrait of my beautiful friend Dan. He has a tattoo on his chest for his mother. He also reminds me of my son. The sweetness of men is often overlooked. In this work Dan has become an icon - a madonna - a precious human, symbolised by the reflective golden background
