Doug from Eden

Doug Schofield is an artist who grew up in Eden on the South Coast of NSW surrounded by beautiful big garden encompassed by bushland. He currently lives and works in Sydney where I met him when I moved from regional South Australia in 2014. He is a kind and gorgeous friend. He has an affinity with the landscape and a passion for gardening which are the subject of many of his works. He wears an earring that belonged to his mother and the background reflects his colourful and expressive interpretations of the landscapes he loves. As a creative person, growing up in regional Australia can leave you feeling isolated. This work is a celebration of Doug’s creative spirit.
